The new year began with significant progress on the new recycling and transfer station. Crews have completed preparations to install the steel framing for the transfer building and moderate-risk waste building, which began in the second half of February.
Work is also advancing on two retaining walls along West Valley Highway, as well as one additional on-site retaining wall.
Construction will remain active throughout the winter and spring. Additional utility work may take place both on-site and along West Valley Highway South, with possible lane closures to allow truck access and work on the retaining walls.
